Terms of Service

These terms describe the general conditions for using viewSQL. If your organisation has a specific agreement with viewSQL, that agreement prevails in a conflict concerning the matters it regulates.

Effective from 8 September 2026.

1. Service

viewSQL provides an environment for working with data, running queries and analyses, managing resources and, when enabled, using integrations with external services. Available features may depend on the plan, role, account settings and enabled capabilities.

2. Account and access

You must use your own credentials and maintain control of your session. You must not attempt to access data, resources or features for which you have no authorisation. Account administrators may apply permissions and storage, synchronisation and sharing policies to users under their management.

3. Your data and resources

You retain the rights you hold over the data and files you bring into viewSQL. You are responsible for having authorisation to process that data and for using persistence, export, synchronisation and sharing capabilities in accordance with your legal, contractual and organisational obligations.

4. Google Drive and other external services

The Google Drive integration is optional. When you use it, you authorise viewSQL through OAuth and select files using Google Picker. viewSQL uses the granted access only to provide the requested functionality, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services are also governed by their own terms, availability and policies. viewSQL does not control changes, interruptions or restrictions imposed by those providers.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use viewSQL to compromise systems, bypass access controls or infringe third-party rights.
  • Do not attempt to obtain other users’ credentials, tokens or information without authorisation.
  • Do not deliberately interfere with the platform’s availability, security or integrity.

6. Changes and availability

viewSQL may update features, security controls and integrations to maintain compatibility, improve the product or respond to regulatory or third-party changes. Some external features may require renewed user authorisation after changes to scopes or credentials.

7. Termination and disconnection

You may stop using an integration and revoke its permissions. For Google Drive, Disconnect removes the authorisation stored by viewSQL and requests revocation of the grant at Google where possible.

8. Privacy

viewSQL’s processing of information is described in the Privacy Policy, including a specific section on Google Drive and OAuth tokens.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect material changes to the service or applicable requirements. The published version indicates its effective date.

10. Enquiries

For questions about these terms, use the support or contact channel associated with your viewSQL account. If you access through an organisation, you may also consult the administrator responsible for your account.
